Newly titled ‘Love is in the Bin’, the piece has become the first artwork in history to have been created live during an auction. The buyer, a female European collector and a long-standing client of Sotheby’s, is proceeding with the purchase at the same price as was achieved in the room on the night. ‘Love is in the Bin’ will be on view to the public in Sotheby’s New Bond Street galleries in #London on Saturday and Sunday 13th and 14th October from noon until 5pm. Final entry to the galleries at 4.40pm.

I was born and raised in center area of Tokyo and growing up seeing the tower all the time.

The tower has seen all the events in Tokyo for 60 years and as of 9/30/2018, the tower will retire from being antenna for television broadcasting and radio.

But the atmosphere was far from celebrating cheerfully.

I thought it was more unsportsmanlike event.

Naomi Osaka has pulled off one of the biggest upsets ever who fought for every point, she covered her face and cried. The crowd booed her.

Everything started with Serena Williams's epic meltdowns.

She just could not let it go and kept berating the umpire and yelled and called him a thief.

The champ, Naomi Osaka accepted the trophy while choking back tears. never smiled.

She said, " I'm sorry, I know that everyone was cheering for her and I'm sorry it had to end like this."

Very very odd things to witness and hear on the Grand Slam champion ceremony.

Let's face it, this wasn't Osaka's first victory over Williams, she beat Williams back in March.

Naomi Osaka has earned that trophy.

Let's not ourselves to go to the political side of it as Williams is trying to make scene more than necessary.

Sportsmanship is what matters here.

Hurricane Lane hit in Hawaii

Ok, we are having blast in Maui right now but we may expect category 4 hurricane tomorrow Thursday and Friday in Maui.

And here are the key messages the weather service wants Hawaii residents to know

1. Lane is forecast to move dangerously close to the main Hawaiian Islands as a hurricane tomorrow through Saturday, potentially bringing damaging winds and life-threatening flash flooding from heavy rainfall. As Lane will be slow-moving as it nears the islands, large and damaging surf can be expected along exposed

2. As Lane approaches the islands from the southeast, initial impacts will be felt on the Big Island and Maui County, where a Hurricane Warning is in effect. Impacts on Kauai County and Oahu are also possible, and a Hurricane Watch is in effect there.

3. Do not focus on the exact forecast track for Lane, as life-threatening weather conditions extend well away from the center of the hurricane, and significant impacts could be felt on any of the islands. 

We will continue enjoying with what Island offers and will be very careful and pay attention to the weather.

Japan lost yesterday against Belgium.

0-0 in the first half and Japan scored 2 within 7 minutes as soon as the last half kicked off.

Many of us thought the dream may come true beating world no.3 powerful team.

Our dream did not last too long.

The powerful Belgium team was strong as we heard rumor that we did not want to hear about.

Japan played impressively well but world standard was tougher.

Belgium scored in 69', 74' and 94' just 30 seconds left to go overtime.


Applause to both team.

Banksy is challenging to see if we all have fair eyes to the artworks and any particular name would not affect valuing the pieces.

The artist recently shared new, untitled artwork that highlights the upcoming anniversary of the EU referendum which the people of the UK voted to leave EU on June.23.2016.

Using the pseudonym Bryan S. Gaakman which is an anagram of Banksy Anagram sent the artwork to the Royal Academy of Arts to consider displaying it in their summer 2018 exhibition and the piece was rejected. A month later, curator from Royal Academy requested for the artwork for the event and Banksy sent the exact same piece.

I need to agree though, Kim Jong Un would be the last person you want to trust and he is not 

ready to have the genuine meeting yet.

So the president of the USA wrote the letter to postpone the meeting and he did not forget to show 

off  his style by saying "ours are so massive and powerful" 

Is it so important to talk about who has more nuclear warhead? It only takes one to destroy whole world.

Having recently moved to New York from his native country of Japan, photographer Jiro Konami has found new inspiration in the chaotic streets of NYC. His latest work accompanies our Spring ‘18 collection in our collaborative exhibition “NEW CITY.”

Photographer Jiro Konami is no stranger to the bustle of big cities. In fact, he thrives in it. After garnering acclaim for both his fashion photography and personal work in his home city of Tokyo, Japan, Konami made the move overseas to New York City in search of new inspiration—and found it in NYC’s crowded streets and soaring skyscrapers. Known for his quick, off-the-cuff style and the dream-like aura he brings to film photography, Konami’s dynamic depiction of New York City and its inhabitants is one of the most refreshing we’ve seen in a while. We’ve been a fan of his for several years now, and with NYC as his new home, we felt collaborating on our Spring ‘18 editorial was a perfect opportunity to work together.

To help celebrate his most recent works, we partnered with Konami for a collaborative exhibition being held at Ba-Tsu Art Gallery in Tokyo from March 20 to 21. Titled NEW CITY, the exhibition highlights images taken by Konami since moving to New York City, alongside editorial images of our Spring ‘18 collection also shot by Konami around our SoHo and West Village stores.

Jiro Konamiさんが捉えるニューヨークと、サタデーズが提案するSpring 18'とのコラボレーションは、僕にとって、ニューヨークさと東京さがミックスした、まさにNew Cityという斬新な、でもローカルな匂いがプンプンする日常生活を描写した街(ファッション）が、そこに存在する気がした。

New Cityとは、ニューヨークと東京の両街が大好きな人だけが見える光景かもしれない。

僕は、目の前の大きなコラージュを眺めながら、New Cityを見たような気がした。

藤原ヒロシ、“キング・オブ・ストリート”と呼ばれる彼の提案してきた“価値観”とは。

ルイ・ヴィトン（LOUIS VUITTON）をはじめ、さまざまなブランドとのコラボレーションで、その名を目にする藤原ヒロシ。国内外で“東京のキング・オブ・ストリート”と言われる男は、もはやストリートだけに収まらず、モード界からも注目を集める。彼のクリエイションは、どこから、どのように生まれるのか。

「モノを作るだけではなく、いつ、誰がやったのかということから生まれる空気感までを作りたい」

世界中のファッション関係者が「キング・オブ・ストリート」と彼のことを呼ぶ。その彼とは、もちろん、藤原ヒロシのことだ。80年代初期、パンクファッションに身を包んだティーンエージャーであった藤原は単身ロンドンに渡り、当時のシーンの中心人物たちと交友を持つようになる。そのなかには、セックス・ピストルズのプロデューサーであり、ヴィヴィアン・ウエストウッド（VIVIENNE WESTWOOD）のパートナーであったマルコム・マクラーレンもいた。そのマルコムの勧めにより、当時、生まれたばかりのヒップホップを体験するべく、今度はNYに旅立つ。

若くしてインターナショナルな知識と感覚を身につけた彼は、黎明期の東京のクラブシーンで世界水準のセンスとスキルを持ったDJとして活躍を始める。90年代に入ると、彼の独自のスタイルーーパンク、ヒップホップ、スケートボードといったカルチャーのそれぞれのコンテクストを理解し、さらに、それらをハイファッションやアートとも関連づけ昇華するーーが、雑誌などのメディアで頻繁に取り上げられ、数多くのフォロワーを生むことになる。藤原がメディアで紹介した服や靴は瞬く間にソールドアウトとなり、さらには、彼が注目した映画や本、格闘技の試合までもフォロワーたちは逃さずチェックした。そして、21世紀に入り、その絶大な影響力は次第に海外へと広がるようになる。

子どものころからヒップホップとインターネットに囲まれていた世代にとって、ルイ・ヴィトン（LOUIS VUITTON）とナイキ（NIKE）を同じテンションでラフに身につけ、メルセデスベンツとスケートボードを同じムードでクールに乗りこなす彼のスタイルは、リアリティのある憧れとして世界中で幅広く受け入れられるようになっていたのだ。そうした新しい世代のラグジュアリーなライフスタイルを先取りしていた藤原ヒロシの名は、現在ハイファッションの世界でもリスペクトとともに語られている。その藤原ヒロシとともに「THE POOL AOYAMA」「THE PARK・IN G GINZA」と二つのテンポラリーショップをプロデュースし、また、自身が関わるsacaiでも定期的に藤原とのコラボレーションを仕掛けるクリエイティブ・ディレクター、源馬大輔が藤原ヒロシにインタビューした。

ーー ヒロシさんはジャンルを超えて活躍していますが、そうしたスタイルを含めて影響を受けた人物はいますか？
10代の頃のパンクからの影響が大きくて、それ以降は特にないですね。

ーー そのパンクからの影響には、マルコム・マクラーレンから得たものもありましたか？ 
それは、確かにあったと思います。ただ、マルコム本人に憧れるというより、あくまで、彼が作ってきたものや、やってきたことがイメージさせるものを意識していたということですが。

ーー マルコム・マクラーレンの持つプロデューサー感覚をヒロシさんから感じます。「THE POOL AOYAMA」や「THE PARK・ING GINZA」で仕事を一緒にしていたとき、ヒロシさん自身も含め、たくさん企画やアイデアを出し合って、そこからヒロシさんにジャッジしてもらったわけですが、その際、いつも何を基準に判断していたんですか？ 

やっぱり、何をするにしても、まず、信頼できる人間関係がベースに必要ですよね。僕は自分ですべてをコントロールしようとするタイプではないので、僕のアイデアを信頼できる人に任せたり、あるいは、そのセンスを信頼できる人からのアイデアであれば、それを信じて進めるということが多いですね。

「ある種の言い訳に僕を利用してもらえればいい」

ーー sacaiでコラボレーションさせていただいたとき、最初にヒロシさんから「ブートレグ」を作りたいと言われて。僕ら結構、困ったんですけど（笑）、ああいう発想は、どこから来るんでしょう？
青山にsacaiのショップがオープンしたときのポップアップ用に作ったのが最初ですよね。そのときに考えたのは、sacaiって、ロゴの入ったアイテムを作っていなかったじゃないですか。だから、sacaiのロゴの入ったTシャツを偽物っぽく作って、それを自分たちで着るというのはどうだろうと。ボディも既製品のものにして。それで、僕のほうで既製品のボディでサンプルを勝手に作って進めていたんですが、それを持っていって阿部（千登勢）さんに見せたら、「うちのボディで作ります」って言われたんですけどね（笑）。

ーー あのあと、他のブランドでもあえてブートレグ的なアイテムを出し始めましたね。
ただ、僕の場合は、僕がやることの意味っていうのを考えていて、例えば、sacaiとのコラボレーションも、阿部さんが誰かに「あんなもの作って、どうしたの？」って言われたら、「あれは、本当はやりたくなかったけれど、ヒロシさんが......」って、言い訳に僕を使ってもらって（笑）、逆に「面白いもの作ったね」って褒められたら、「そうでしょ！」って阿部さんに言ってもらえるようにしたというか。そんなふうに、ある種の言い訳に僕を利用してもらえればいい。

「ギャップや違和感を感じさせるものが好き」

ーー ヒロシさんのクリエイションは、基本的に誰かとのコラボレーションという形ですね。その中には、ア コールド ウォールのような若い新進気鋭のブランドからナイキ（NIKE）やルイ・ヴィトン（LOUIS VUITTON）のような大きな企業まであります。その際、コラボレーションのやり方にそれぞれどんな違いがありますか？
僕の中では、あまり違いはないんですよね。大きな企業が相手でも結局、「人」だから。企業や組織を丸ごと相手にするのではなくて、その中の誰とやるか、どんな人たちとやるか、というのがポイントなので。だから、ナイキ（NIKE）のことなら僕に聞けばなんでもわかると思っている人もいるけれど、全くそんなことはなくて、僕自身が関わっていること以外は、ほとんど知らないんですよ（笑）。ルイ・ヴィトン（LOUIS VUITTON）にしたって、デザイナーのキム（・ジョーンズ）からのオファーだから受けたわけだし、そもそも、キム以外には、僕にルイ・ヴィトン（LOUIS VUITTON）のコレクションを作らせようという人もいないでしょう。

ーー では、ラグジュアリーとストリートとの違いをどう考えていますか？ あるいは、そこにも違いはないとお考えですか？
ラグジュアリーと呼ばれるものの中でも少し変わったものが好きなんですよ。高価なのに、ちっともそう見えない安っぽいものとか（笑）。逆にストリートであってもラグジュアリーのようにとても凝ったものが気になるし。そういう一般的なカテゴライズからはみ出ているものに興味があるという点では同じ見方をしているかもしれませんね。セックス・ピストルズの曲の一節に“We're the flowers in the dustbin”というのがあって、僕はとても好きなんですけれど、その「ゴミ箱の中の花」というたとえのように、周りとのギャップや違和感を感じさせるものが好きだし、僕自身もそういうことを意識しています。言い方を換えれば、簡単にカテゴライズされたくないんです。例えば、ストリート、スニーカー、ヒップホップというようなジャンルや、そのコミュニティに入りきってしまうのは、僕には居心地が悪い。そもそもヒップホップにしても、その本来の面白さは、あらゆる音楽をミックスするところにあったわけだから。

ーー そして、ミックスすることによって、そこから新しい価値を作り出すことが大事なんですね。
そう。あと、僕が若い頃にDJで60年代のソウルミュージックをかけると、僕よりずっと年上の人に「自分も昔かけていたよ」って、よく言われたりしたんですが、その人がリアルタイムで聴いていたジェームス・ブラウンと僕がそのときにかけていたジェームス・ブラウンでは、同じ曲でも意味が違うんですよ。いつ、誰がやるかっていうことで意味や価値が変わる。逆に言えば、マルコムや僕が80年代にかぶっていたバッファローハットを今、僕ではなくファレル（・ウィリアムス）がかぶることで新しい価値が生まれる。そんなふうにただ、モノを作るだけではなくて、いつ、誰がやったのかということから生まれる空気感までを作っていきたいんです。
