Ok. It is time for this big event. DSMNY will be open its door soon.
Official opening date is 12/21 (sat) and I am very excited to go check things out privately little earlier......

ROBERTA'S

I happened to love them as much as many New Yorkers out there.

It is pain to get there, but we all know it would worth a trip once you open your mouth.

I love the pizza, but ROBERTA'S ain't good just for that. They serve top notch cuisine menu changes every time just because the chef knows what he has best on that day.

Here is an article describing ROBERTA'S well.

Even though Roberta’s is known as a pizzeria, it’s O.K. to skip the pizzas. Not that there’s anything wrong with them — they're nicely singed in a wood-burning oven — but the kitchen is also turning out subtle and polished dishes in the back, like pickled pig's tongue, or mackerel, which might come with braised lemon jelly and puréed peas. This is not pizzeria fare, and it’s not what you expect to find in a part of the Bushwick section of Brooklyn where street traffic seems to be evenly divided between concrete trucks and fixed-gear bikes. Roberta’s fits right in. The restaurant looks like a cinderblock bunker, and the beer and wine are served in jelly jars, but the food is as confident and relaxed as thscruffy clientele.

If you have not visited ROBERTA'S yet, you must go.

最近、ブルックリンのBushwickという工業地帯にある、ROBERTA'Sというレストランにはまっている。多くのニューヨーカーの中では、この様な会話をよく耳にする。

”ステーキハウスで、一番は？”　”Peter Lugarでしょ”  "ピザで、一番は？” ”ROBERTA'S"でしょ”という流れになる確率が、とても高い。どちらもブルックリンに所在するという、不思議な偶然なのか、話し合ってそうなったのか？何故か美味しいレストランは、ブルックリンにある。

ROBERTA'Sのピザは、勿論最高。いつ、何を食べても満足する味。自分のお気に入りは、Margheritaかな？サラダだって、さらっとオーガニックな味。盛り付けも、何ともセンスがいい。

ROBERTA'Sのチャームは、ピザを打ち出しているのだけど、その他のアイテムも、一流レストラン級。是非ピザ以外も試してもらいたい。それもそのはず、同じオーナーがもう１つのBLANCAという、一人$200のChef's kitchenでグルメ達を魅了する、tasting menu onlyの最高に粋なレストランも切盛りしているからだ。
