Comic strips and luxury watches typically have little in common, which is why these Bamford DRx Army Navy Watches ($24,500-$32,500) are so unique. The result of a collaboration between King Features Syndicate and Darren Romanelli, these custom Rolexes have been created by the loving hands of the Bamford Watch Department. Beetle Bailey appears on the face — and hands — of a customized Submariner, while Popeye makes his presence known on the front of a customized Yacht Master, and each arrives in an appropriately Army- or Navy-themed metal box, along with a nylon strap, and a custom comic strip. Limited to just 20 examples each and available at eight select boutiques in LA, Miami, Paris, London, Tokyo, Hong Kong, and Singapore.

Everybody street: Ricky Powell

Everybody Street is a new documentary that takes an insightful look at the lives and work of some of NYC’s most iconic street photographers and the city that continues to inspire them. Paying tribute to the spirit of the city through director Cheryl Dunn’s intimate portraits of the artists, Everybody Street looks to be an exciting feature length production.

Spanning six decades and featuring Bruce Davidson , Elliott Erwitt, Jill Freedman, Bruce Gilden, Joel Meyerowitz, Rebecca Lepkoff, Mary Ellen Mark, Jeff Mermelstein, Clayton Patterson, Ricky Powell, Jamel Shabazz, Martha Cooper, Jeff Mermelstein, and Boogie, with Max Kozloff and Luc Sante, Everybody Street was included in the Hot Docs International Documentary Festival’s official selection.

 The designers nominated for the CFDA award for emerging talent, sponsored by crystal company Swarovski, all made “objects d’art” with Swarovski crystals to sell at the store Fivestory in New York. The CFDA awards are like the Oscars of the fashion industry, so you know giving these designers a bunch of sparkles and letting them run wild can only be a good thing.

2013年のCFDA SWAROVSKI AWARDに、Todd Snyderがノミネートされたのは、多くの方々がご存知の事と思います。そうだと願っています。。。。。その中で、Swarovskiが、今回ノミネートされた各デザイナーに、それぞれが好むアイテムにクリスタルを施すという洒落た/高そうーな企画を開催しました。我ら、Todd Snyderは、結構地味？だけど、とってもToddらしいアイテムですね。これらの作品は、アッパーイーストに有ります、Fivestoryというショップで販売いたします。かなりリミテッドですよね？ 

 

 

 

 

SATURDAYS SURF FUND RAISING EVENT

6 months ago Hurricane Sandy ravaged our local coast line. Although a lot has been done to help clean up what was destroyed many of the houses are still in need of serious repair. Waves 4 Water has been on the ground from the beginning, organizing, mobilizing and getting the affected communities the specific help they need.

Help us raise funds to keep their efforts and good deeds coming as the summertime approaches and they city finds itself back on the beach. We would love for you to join us for a night of food, drinks and good will towards our friends by the ocean

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

JAPAN TRIP - 日本出張

SATURDAYS SURF Kobe store opening!! This is our second store after success at Daikanyama in Tokyo.

Todd Snyder was also in Tokyo for BARNEYS JAPAN event. We had so many interviews and photo shootings.

I was in Japan for almost 3 weeks and just came back with jet lags.
It was long, but very exciting trip.

SATURDAYS SURF 1st anniversary for Daikanyama store and 2nd store opening in Kobe. also Todd Snyder held awesome VIP 2 days event at BARNEYS JAPAN.

I feel very fortunate being part of those 2 projects and getting well responses in Japan.

一昨日、約3週間程の日本出張より戻りました。

今回は、SATURDAYS SURF代官山1周年、神戸店オープン、及びTODD SNYDERバーニーズ新宿店イベントの為、一時帰国しました。

忙しかったけど、とても充実した出張になりました。

現時点で、この2ブランドと仕事が出来る事は、とても嬉しいことであり、更に日本/アジアでの展開を拡げる事が、僕の責任だと感じています。
