TODD SNYDER CELEBRATES 10TH ANNIVERSARY WITH NEW CAPSULE

This year marks ten years since Todd Snyder launched his menswear line. To commemorate this milestone, Snyder is releasing a capsule of his greatest hits alongside a beautiful campaign shot by Kenny Thomas and sketched by Ryan McMenamy.

“There were always a lot of great menswear designers,” Snyder said about his original inspiration, “but there was no one owning classic, luxury pieces – meaning how do you take a chino and reinvent it? How do you take a suit and reinvent it?”

Ten years and three stores later, many of Snyder’s most iconic (and bestselling) styles are a result of this effort to upgrade, refine, and modernize the quintessential pieces of a man’s wardrobe – the Oxford shirt, the chore coat, the trucker jacket. Inspired by vintage military clothing, field wear, workwear, and Savile Row tailoring, Snyder is now an undisputed master of an aesthetic that is grounded in tradition, but designed for the modern gentleman.

Some of the capsule pieces are the result of hard-working wardrobe staples being remade in a luxurious fabric. Others involve diving deep into menswear’s past and resurfacing a style that transports the wearer to a more glamorous time and place. And every once in a while, Snyder asks himself, ‘Why not?’ As in, “why not make an Oxford out of an artisanal Japanese Selvedge fabric?” So, the shirt fabric develops unique highs and lows over time the same way a well-made pair of jeans does.

The TSX Capsule is just one element of the tenth-anniversary celebration. Others include a series of exclusive collaborations with the brands that Snyder enjoys long-running partnerships with, including Timex watches, Moscot eyewear, New Balance sneakers, Birdwell swimwear, Clarks desert boots, and Rocky Mountain Featherbed outerwear.

Added Snyder, “I started doing collaborations back in 2013, and they became one of my calling cards. There’s something very inspiring about going into the archives of a best-in-class company like Alden, Timex, or Champion and thinking about how to take their design codes and refresh them, so they get a new customer to discover what all of us fanboys love about these heritage brands.”

Nuyorican Soul is an American music group from New York City, New York.It was formed by Little Louie Vega and Kenny "Dope" Gonzalez.

Nuyorican Soul is the debut studio album by Nuyorican Soul, released in 1997. It featured guest appearances from George Benson, Roy Ayers, Tito Puente, DJ Jazzy Jeff, Jocelyn Brown, Vincent Montana Jr., Salsoul Orchestra, and India.

Nuyorican is a portmanteau of the terms "New York" and "Puerto Rican" and refers to the members or culture of the Puerto Rican diaspora located in or around New York City, or of their descendants (especially those raised or currently living in the New York metropolitan area). This term is sometimes used for Puerto Ricans living in other areas in the Northeast outside New York State as well. The term is also used by Islander Puerto Ricans (Puerto Ricans from Puerto Rico) to differentiate those of Puerto Rican descent from the Puerto Rico-born.

Show me the proof

New York City will become the first U.S city to require proof of at least one dose of a coronavirus vaccine for a variety of activities - indoor dining, gym, performances etc for workers and customers.

Mayor Bill de Blasio announced yesterday that “If you want to participate in our society fully, you’ve got to get vaccinated,” he said at a news conference. “It’s time.” "This is going to be a requirement," he added. 

According to NYC Health, about 66% of adults in the city are fully vaccinated as about 72% of adults has at least one dose.

Fully vaccinated people are protected against the worst outcomes of Covid-19 caused by the Delta variant, but there’s a sharp drop in the efficacy if an individual has only had one dose of a two-dose vaccine.

Mayor has been reluctant to reinstate an indoor mask mandate like other major city including Los Angeles, San Francisco and Washington, but encouraged New Yorkers to wear masks indoor on Monday.

To ensure indoor venues, people must use the city's new app, the state's Excelsior app or a paper card to show proof of vaccination. Mayor did not say for certain how to handle vaccinations like AstraZeneca or Sinovac that maybe common among international visitors.

New York City will issue a health commissioner's order and a mayoral executive order to put the vaccine mandate in place, the six weeks before enforcement begins on September.13.

The Mayor said the city is legal to move forward with these mandates even without F.D.A. approval. 

I hope many people think we should put this in place as soon as possible and there should be ways to show you are vaccinated.

I am fully vaccinated and this is only way not to get yourself  severely or fatal cases from coronavirus and only way not to spread to others.

Space tourism; Difference between flights of Branson, Bezos and Musk

Richard Branson’s Virgin Galactic: SpaceShipTwo is a reusable space plane that can fly into suborbital space. The Spaceship was carried aboard the mothership VMS Eve and was released at about 50,000 feet above sea level. The spaceship fired its rocket engines and launched to the edge of space and landed back on the Spaceport runway.

Jeff Bezos’ Blue Origin: New Shepard’s rocket-and-capsule will be launched vertically into the suborbital space. They then separate and the rocket returns to the launchpad, while the capsule falls back to earth with parachutes assisting it make the landing in the West Texas desert.

Elon Musk’s SpaceX: The Dragon capsule will be launched by a reusable Falcon rocket. The spacecraft is also equipped with parachutes to stabilise the spacecraft during reentry and splashdown.

Time duration

Richard Branson’s trip to space and back lasted about 90 minutes from take-off to landing. The SpaceShip was separated 45 minutes after takeoff and after reaching the required height, those on board experienced a few minutes of weightlessness before descending to the Spaceport in New Mexico.

Blue Origin’s flight will last around 11 minutes after separation. Elon Musk’s SpaceX is not aiming for short trips lasting minutes. Instead, the all-civilian missions are expected to last about three to four days from take-off to landing.

Space or edge of space?

The Kármán line or most widely accepted boundary of space, is located 100km above mean sea level. The US uses 80km as the cutoff point.

Branson’s Virgin Galactic flight reached a height of 86km while Jeff Bezos’ Blue Origin flight is expected to go about 106km high. SpaceX’s Earth Orbit mission promises to take a look at our planet from over 300km up.

Crew

Virgin Galactic: SpaceShipTwo is designed to carry two pilots and six passengers. The three mission specialists who travelled with Branson were: Beth Moses, Chief Astronaut Instructor at Virgin Galactic Colin Bennett, Lead Operations Engineer at Virgin Galactic. Sirisha Bandla, Vice President of Government Affairs and Research Operations at Virgin Galactic.

The pilots for the mission were Dave Mackay and Michael Masucci flying VSS Unity, and CJ Sturckow and Kelly Latimer flying VMS Eve.

Blue Origin: It can carry six passengers, is entirely automated and does not require a pilot. Bezos will be travelling with his brother Mark Bezos, aviation pioneer Wally Funk and 18-year-old high school graduate Oliver Daemen. He is Blue Origin’s first paying customer but the company has not disclosed his ticket cost.

SpaceX: The Dragon spacecraft can carry up to seven passengers. The first all-civilian rocket trip will include Jared Isaacman, a billionaire who bought the ride, Hayley Arceneaux, a physician assistant and pediatric bone cancer survivor, Sian Proctor, science communicator and Christopher Sembroski, a U.S Air Force veteran. Reports have mentioned that Elon Musk had expressed interest in joining Japanese billionaire Yusaku Maezawa on his week-long trip around the moon in 2023.

Each induvial seems to achieve first time in history on its own area and some people may argue who had first private space flight or better flight.......that should not means so important.

All we know is that because of these gentlemen's fortune, curiosity, adventurous spirit, many of us will have opportunities to see yourself what is outside of our planet. 

The first human made object to touch the Moon was on 13.Septmber. 1959 and it only took 62 years to become space flight as commercial one and those flights to ensure going to space will not be a dream anymore.

It was a beautiful 26 minutes of fireworks in nyc to celebrate the July.4th.

I am not sure how people felt last night watching the fireworks, but I felt we are  on our way to come back strong from COVID-19 finally.

Many people still will need to have vaccines to protect yourself and others and this July.4 was an important point to move forward and getting back to live strong and normal.

Many people are still suffering their lives from  the virus and economic situations and I am not exception, but it is time trying to find ways to get back to where it was.

We have been very fortunate to be able to employ all the members and work as a team together under the different business structures. We are committed to form a stronger team to work with clients and continuing having creativities to build stronger business platform to be ready for new opportunities.

We are ready and let's get back to business!
