The Council of Fashion Designers of America is launching New York Fashion Week: Men’s, a standalone showcase for American men’s fashion  kicking off this July with the Spring/Summer 2016 collections.
New York Fashion Week: Men’s will be presented by Amazon’s fashion sites – including Amazon Fashion, East Dane, and MyHabit – with additional support from Shinola, DreamWorks Animation and Dockers.

CFDA finally made a great move to host only men's designers collection at very right timing which is right before our actual buying men's market week in July.

Our Todd Snyder will be holding the runway show on July.14(Tues) at 4pm. Here are the schedule for you.

待ちに待った、メンズだけのFashion weekが始まります。

今までは、2月と9月に、メンズ、レディースを一緒に見せるという、メンズにとっては迷惑であり、無駄金であった、CFDA fashion week.

 

バイヤーでない方に、簡単にこの無駄さを説明します。

 

皆さんが身につけられている洋服は、ショップのバイヤーが、展示会やショールームにアポを入れて買付をし、店頭に並べられます。そこから皆さんが手にとって購入されます。

 

ニューヨークのメンズの展示会は、毎年、1月と7月に開催されますので、fashion weekが2月、9月ですと、既に買付が終わっているタイミングですので、ファッションショーは、ただのエンタテイメントなショーなのです。本会場で、きちんとしたrunway showになりますと、たった15分で終わるショーの為に、デザイナー達は、$100,000（約１千万）以上のキャッシュを費やします。無駄だと思いませんか？可哀想だと思いませんか？

 

ですので、やっとファッション協会がこの問題に気付き、今年から、７月の展示会前に、Fashion weekを始めようじゃないか！っとなったのです。

 

このタイミングですと、ショーをみながら動きのある洋服を確認したうえで、買付が出来るという素晴らしいことなのです。

 

これでバイヤーは、もっと精度の高い買付が出来るかな？
